Arizona Tourism

Arizona is perhaps one of the most well known southwestern states in America as it is home to the magnificence of the Grand Canyon. Its name is thought to be either from the Pima Indian word aleh-zon or ali-shonak which means “small spring” or “the place of the small spring” or from the Basque word, “Arizona” which means “good oak tree”. Today it is known for beautiful golf greens, towering mountains that soar above red-walled canyons, magnificent sunrises and sunsets, unusual rock formations, spicy foods, and a diverse culture of people.
